The waste‑free weekly meal planner
Recipes ask for 100 ml. The supermarket sells 200 ml. Restlos plans your whole week around the packs you actually buy, then makes sure every one of them gets used. Less waste, less money spent, and no more nightly “what shall we eat?”
01The problem
Most of it does not happen in fields or factories. It happens at home, one half‑used pack at a time: the rest of the cream, the second leek, the bag of spinach we meant to cook on Thursday.
The cause is surprisingly mundane: recipes are written in grams, but shops sell in packs. No meal planner we know of does the sums in between. Restlos does.
02How it works
How many people, which days, lunch or dinner. Add dislikes, hard exclusions, a calorie range per portion and the cuisines you love.
Restlos chooses dishes that share ingredients, so the other half of the cream becomes Wednesday’s risotto instead of Sunday’s bin.
Grouped by supermarket aisle and counted in real packs, not grams. Share it with a link and tick things off, even without signal.
What you buy fills your pantry, what you cook is deducted, and whatever keeps rolls into next week’s plan. Nothing is forgotten.
03The difference
Other planners let a language model guess. Restlos lets it propose dishes, then checks every gram with plain arithmetic: package counts, leftovers, expiry dates and calories. If anything would be left over, the plan goes back for another round until the week adds up.

04Features
Built around one idea, that food you buy should be food you eat, and polished like a native iPhone app.
The rest of the two kilo potato sack isn’t waste, it’s next Monday. Anything that keeps shapes the following week’s plan.
Anything in your pantry that expires within three days is flagged, and planned first.
Double tonight’s portion and tomorrow’s lunch is already sorted. Planned, counted and on the list.
Can’t stand coriander? It is replaced inside the dish. Allergies and hard no’s never appear at all, not even as a substitute.
Set a calorie range per portion and every dish is scaled to it. No counting, no spreadsheets.
Plans draw on a curated library of real recipes. AI only invents a dish when one is needed to use something up.
Snap a cookbook page, your grandmother’s handwritten card or a screenshot, and it becomes a recipe Restlos can plan with.
Grouped by aisle, counted in packs, in German or English. Share it by link with anyone; ticks sync when the signal returns.
Every week closes with a score, what carried over, and the ingredients you bin most often. Watch it improve.
Rate what you cook. Favourites return, and a one‑star dish is never planned again.
Rotate through the world’s kitchens or pin Thai to Thursdays. Add quick, air fryer or high protein weeks.
Reroll a day, drop an evening, or simply write “something lighter on Friday”. Then lock the week.
05Why not just…
Popular planners are good at recipes and lists. What people tell us they miss is everything in between: the half‑used packs, the leftovers, the subscription that grows every year, and the uneasy question of where their data ends up.

What you eat says a great deal about you: your health, your religion, your budget, your family. That is why every byte of Restlos is stored in the European Union, with European companies, under European law.
All data lives in EU data centres run by European providers. No transfers to third countries, no small print about “adequate safeguards”.
We earn money from people who use Restlos, never from advertisers, retailers or data brokers. You are the customer, not the product.
No analytics scripts, no pixels, no fingerprinting. Even this website sets no cookies, which is why you have not seen a cookie banner.
We collect only what planning needs: an email address, your preferences and your plans. Ask, and all of it is deleted.
€Every euro we spend on infrastructure stays with European businesses.
07Our mission
Food waste is not a moral failing. It is a planning problem, and planning problems can be solved with good software. We want to put that software in every European kitchen.
Halve the food waste of every household that plans with Restlos.
Help the EU reach its binding 2030 target: a 30 % cut in food waste per person in shops, restaurants and homes.
Give back the time people spend each year deciding what to eat.
Prove that everyday software can be designed, built, hosted and funded in Europe.
These are goals, not measured results. We will publish our real numbers as soon as the beta produces them.
08Pricing
We would rather be honest than clever about money.

Our promise: no ads, ever. No selling of data, ever. Nothing you rely on today will be quietly locked away tomorrow.
For funders and partners
Households cause more food waste than any other part of the chain, yet they receive the least practical help. Restlos is ready to grow from a beta into public infrastructure for Europe’s kitchens: more countries, more languages, a measured impact study. We are looking for EU programmes, foundations, retailers and investors who want to make that happen.

Yes. During the beta every feature is free, with no limits and no ads. When we leave beta, the core planner stays free and an optional paid plan will cover heavy AI use and extras. Beta members will hear about it well in advance.
On iPhone, and in any modern browser on Android, Windows, Mac or Linux. A native Android app is on our roadmap.
Pack sizes are currently modelled on German supermarkets, and the shopping list comes in German or English. More countries’ supermarkets are next on the list.
The app interface is in English today, while the shopping list can be in German or English. A full German interface is on the roadmap.
Share the shopping list with a link that opens in any browser, no account needed. Full shared households with several accounts are coming.
No. Setting a calorie range per portion is optional. If you do, Restlos scales every dish to fit, so you never have to count anything yourself.
Exclude any ingredient, meat or fish included, and it will never appear. Dislikes work more gently: they are swapped for something similar inside the dish.
It is stored in the EU with European providers and used only to plan your meals. We never show ads and never sell or share your data for marketing. Ask, and we delete everything.
